Medications

Medication Refills - A Faster, Easier Process

For the quickest refill process, please contact your pharmacy first. Your pharmacy will generate a request through our electronic medication system, ensuring a smooth and timely refill.

Refill Process:

  • If your refill has not been processed within 24-48 hours, call us at 817-253-9535 to confirm we received the pharmacy’s request. If no request was received, we will submit one on your behalf.

  • If your refill is denied, you will need to schedule an appointment before a new prescription can be issued.

Insurance & Prior Authorizations:

  • If your medication is no longer covered by your insurance, please contact your provider to identify a comparable medication within your plan’s formulary before reaching out to us.

  • If your medication requires a prior authorization, check if there is an alternative covered by your insurance. If no alternatives are available, contact us so we can begin the authorization process. Please note that insurance approvals can take over a week.

Medication Samples & Cost Assistance

​

Bajaj & Co. Endocrinology no longer provides routine medication samples. Samples are only available for new medication starts and must be obtained during an appointment.

​

If cost is a concern:

  • Contact your insurance provider to explore more affordable alternatives.

  • Once you have a suggested comparable medication, send a message through NextMD to inform our medical team. We will review the options with your provider to determine if a switch is appropriate.
